EDITORIAL Dear Pharma Industrial India readers, We welcome you to the Latest Edition of Pharma Industrial India Magazine. The logistics and supply chain industry plays a crucial role in the pharmaceutical sector. From procurement to transportation, every aspect of the logistics process con- tributes to ensuring timely and reliable ac- cess to healthcare resources. In this edition, Pharma Industrial India Mag- azine interviewed Vaibhav Vohra, Manag- ing Director, Continental Carriers Pvt. Ltd. to know about the critical issues faced by the pharmaceutical industry in regard to the global supply chain and the possible solutions to it. Vacuum chambers are essential tools for research and industrial applications. Hrishikesh Gadve, Assistant Sales Man- ager, Ami Polymer Pvt. Ltd. shared about Imaseal®, a sealing solution in heat treat- ment. Joan Cano Cervelló, Speciality Lead Pro- cess & Utilities, Klinea wrote about build- ing effective cold chain systems for phar- maceutical manufacturing. Some of the necessary points for the design of the cold rooms include specific heat of the product, number of daily door openings, air renewal requirements, classification of the room and considerable internal loads. Compressed air is a cornerstone utility in the pharmaceutical industry. The applica- tions of compressed air in the pharmaceu- tical industry are diverse. In this edition of the magazine, an article has been covered on the critical role of compressed air qual- ity in the pharmaceutical industry written by Amar S, Assistant General Manager - Product Management, Elgi Equipments Ld. In the ‘Tech Talk’ segment, Pharma Indus- trial India has covered an AI drug discov- ery technology developed by Fujitsu and RIKEN that predicts structural changes in proteins. The technology accurately esti- mates the various forms of a target protein's conformation and their possible proportions from a large number of projection images taken by electron microscopy. The ‘Product’ segment covers ORAAL ® , an oral spray launched by Shilpa Medicare. The spray is touted to be a naturally derived option for the treatment of oral mucositis. This edition also includes a prelude to Shanghai World of Packaging (swop) which is to be held in Shanghai from November 22 to 24. Over 900 exhibitors will be present at the event, bringing together notable pack- aging companies and experts from China and all over the world.
