Swiss packaging company Amcor has expanded its healthcare packaging network with the opening of a new warehouse and distribution facility in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Strategically located to serve the needs of medical customers in the Americas, the new facility is designed to optimise supply chain efficiency for trays, die-cut lids, forming films, bags, pouches, and labels.

The site will enable faster service, simplified customs management and improved access to Amcor’s comprehensive product portfolio, while maintaining strict regulatory standards, the company stated.

“Amcor continues to invest in operational solutions to solve our customers’ biggest challenges. Costa Rica is home to several of the world’s top MedTech OEMs, underscoring its role as a premier destination for medical technology investment and innovation,” said Art Castro, Vice President at Amcor.

“Our new warehouse and distribution centre will improve supply chain efficiency for our customers and provide greater access to Amcor’s innovative portfolio of packaging solutions,” he added.

Amcor’s healthcare packaging division operates globally, offering solutions for medical, pharmaceutical, and consumer health packaging.
