DHL Supply Chain has agreed to acquire SDS Rx, a provider of final-mile delivery and specialised healthcare transportation for long-term care and specialty pharmacies, radiopharmacies, and health system networks. 

The strategic acquisition will further strengthen DHL Health Logistics, enhancing its ability to deliver integrated, time-critical solutions across every stage of the life sciences and healthcare (LSHC) supply chain.

Processing specialised healthcare deliveries from more than 200 locations across the US, SDS Rx will add final-mile logistics services to DHL's healthcare transportation network. The acquisition also expands DHL's same-day and expedited delivery capabilities for life sciences and healthcare customers.

This marks DHL Supply Chain’s second healthcare acquisition in 2025, following the purchase of CryoPDP, a specialty courier focused on clinical trials, biopharmaceuticals, and cell and gene therapies, earlier this year.

Following regulatory approvals, SDS Rx operations will be integrated into DHL Supply Chain North America’s Life Sciences and Healthcare business, with teams continuing to operate under existing local leadership.
