Academically Global, a healthcare-focused EdTech platform, has unveiled PharmaHackers 2025, a first-of-its-kind international festival of knowledge and innovation for pharmacy students and professionals. Timed to coincide with World Pharmacists Day on 25 September, the event is designed to inspire creativity, foster innovation, and provide tangible opportunities for young minds in the pharmacy sector.
A defining feature of PharmaHackers is the promise of seed funding of up to INR 1 crore for the most outstanding startup idea, enabling participants to transform bold concepts into practical healthcare solutions. Additional rewards worth INR15 lakhs, free courses, mentorship, and internships will also be available.
The competition is open to students of D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, PharmD, PhD, as well as interns and professionals. It will unfold in two phases: a Quiz Challenge on 25–26 September to test knowledge and problem-solving skills, followed by an Innovation Challenge on 27–29 September where shortlisted participants will present their solutions through posters or digital reels. Final results will be declared on 15 October.
Highlighting its unique edge, the initiative also offers participants the opportunity to intern with Dr Akram Ahmad, pharmacist, researcher, and CEO of Academically Global.
Dr Ahmad remarked: “PharmaHackers is where pharmacy talent meets opportunity. By offering seed funding, we are creating a launchpad for ideas that can transform healthcare and inspire the next generation of leaders.”
