Acon Laboratories has announced the nationwide retail availability of the first US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared home test capable of detecting four major respiratory infections- RSV, Influenza A, Influenza B and Covid-19 using a single test.
The Flowflex Plus RSV + Flu A/B + Covid 4-in-1 Home Test enables families to quickly identify the cause of common respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, congestion and wheezing. Notably, it is the first FDA-cleared at-home respiratory test approved for use in children as young as six months, when administered by an adult using Acon’s proprietary nasal swab guard.
The ability to test infants for RSV is particularly significant, as respiratory syncytial virus remains the leading cause of hospitalisation among young children, according to the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Early and accurate identification can help caregivers make informed decisions regarding treatment, isolation and medical care.
Michael Lynch, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Acon Laboratories, said, “Respiratory symptoms often look the same, but the decisions families need to make can be very different. This test gives people clarity sooner and in the comfort of their own home.”
The over-the-counter rapid antigen test simultaneously detects:
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
Influenza A
Influenza B
Covid-19
Using a nasal swab, the test delivers results quickly, supporting timely decision-making, especially when caring for infants, older adults or individuals with weakened immune systems.
As home diagnostics continue to play a growing role in accessible healthcare, The company has established itself as a trusted brand, ranking as America’s number one home test brand. The introduction of the 4-in-1 test further strengthens ACON’s leadership in consumer diagnostics.
The Flowflex Plus RSV + Flu A/B + Covid Home Test is now available nationwide at major retailers including CVS, Walgreens, Albertsons and other outlets.
Headquartered in San Diego, California, the company’s US operations lead strategic management, business development and innovation in diagnostic research and development.
