Andelyn Biosciences and ENCell have entered into a strategic collaboration to establish a cross-regional manufacturing network connecting the United States and Asia-Pacific (APAC). The partnership is designed to accelerate the global development and delivery of next-generation gene therapies.

The agreement brings together the companies’ advanced GMP manufacturing facilities, technical expertise and regional networks to support faster development, scalable production and smoother international expansion of gene therapy programs. By creating a ‘dual hemisphere’ workflow, the collaboration aims to simplify regulatory processes and reduce logistical barriers typically associated with global biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

A key focus of the partnership is enabling in-country manufacturing for local clinical trials, ensuring that therapies can be produced closer to patient populations. This approach is expected to reduce lead times, strengthen regional supply chains and improve accessibility to innovative treatments.

Company executives highlighted that the alliance combines Andelyn’s strengths in viral vector development and cGMP manufacturing with ENCell’s clinical and production capabilities across APAC. The integrated platform will support clients from early-stage research through clinical trials and eventual commercialization on a global scale.
