Boehringer Ingelheim has appointed Meenal Gauri as Managing Director India, effective January 12, 2026. In her new role, she will oversee the company’s operations across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Maldives, and will also join the Board of Boehringer Ingelheim India.

Gauri brings over 16 years of international experience spanning Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Her expertise includes marketing, sales, corporate strategy, business development and market access. The company said her leadership will support its growth ambitions under the India Vision 2030 strategy, aimed at expanding patient impact and strengthening market presence.

During her tenure in regional roles at Boehringer Ingelheim, Gauri played a key role in driving strategy across complex markets and leading high-impact product launches. She is also a trained Co-Active coach, with a focus on leadership development and fostering collaborative work cultures.

Speaking on her appointment, Gauri described her journey at the company as purposeful and growth-oriented. She highlighted India as a dynamic and evolving healthcare market and reaffirmed her commitment to advancing patient health through innovation and partnerships.

Evren Ozlu, Head of Human Pharma, India, Middle East, Turkey and Africa (IMETA) at Boehringer Ingelheim, said Gauri’s industry expertise and people-first leadership approach align closely with the company’s values. He expressed confidence that the India business would continue to strengthen innovation and partnerships under her leadership.
