Cadila Pharmaceuticals has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore-based Wellesta Holdings to establish a strategic joint venture aimed at expanding access to high-quality pharmaceutical and healthcare products across Southeast Asia and selected international markets.
The proposed joint venture will focus on identifying, developing and commercialising pharmaceutical and healthcare products by leveraging Cadila Pharmaceuticals’ research, development and manufacturing capabilities alongside Wellesta’s regional market presence and commercialisation expertise.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen Cadila’s footprint in key growth markets while enabling Wellesta to expand its portfolio with differentiated healthcare solutions. The partners also plan to build a stronger presence across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and other emerging markets.
The companies said the joint venture will combine Cadila’s product development and supply capabilities with Wellesta’s established front-end infrastructure, regulatory expertise, distribution network and commercial operations to create a long-term healthcare business in the region.
Cadila Pharmaceuticals brings to the partnership its capabilities in research and development, manufacturing, regulatory compliance and a diversified portfolio spanning prescription medicines, consumer healthcare products and specialty therapies. The company has built a vertically integrated pharmaceutical business with operations across multiple global markets.
Wellesta Holdings, headquartered in Singapore, is a healthcare and pharmaceutical commercialisation company with a presence across Southeast Asia and other international markets. The company provides market access, regulatory support, distribution and commercial services through its regional network.
