Casio Introduces DZ-C100 COLPOCAMERA and CST-100M Camera Stand to US, Australia and New Zealand

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has announced the release of its cutting-edge medical devices, the DZ-C100 COLPOCAMERA and CST-100M camera stand, in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.

Alongside the devices, the image management software D'z IMAGE Viewer C is also available in these regions, marking a significant expansion of Casio's medical device offerings.

Originally launched in Japan in March 2022, the DZ-C100 COLPOCAMERA is specifically designed for uterocervical observation and photography in gynecological settings. It plays a crucial role in the early detection of cervical cancer, providing medical professionals with high-definition images for accurate diagnosis.

The camera features the capability to capture three types of images—normal, green, and polarized—with a single press of the shutter. Additionally, when paired with the CST-100M camera stand, the device offers smooth maneuverability to achieve the desired observation position and secure fixation.

The DZ-C100 and the CST-100M were initially introduced to the European market in September 2023, where they garnered positive feedback from medical practitioners. Notably, professionals appreciated the high-definition imaging capabilities and the Touch Focus Function, which simplifies image focusing on the LCD monitor.

Both the DZ-C100 and the CST-100M have received regulatory approvals in the target regions. They have been registered as Class II medical devices by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as well as Class I medical devices by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, they are listed in the Web Assisted Notification of Devices (WAND) Database in New Zealand.

In the United States, Casio America, Inc., a sales subsidiary, will handle the distribution of the products. Meanwhile, in Australia and New Zealand, distribution will be managed by C.R. KENNEDY & Company Pty. Ltd.

By introducing advanced technology to these regions, Casio aims to contribute to the improvement of medical practices worldwide.
