Cipla has entered into definitive agreements to invest in the Optionally Convertible Preference Shares of Bengaluru-based iCaltech Innovations, a medical devices company focused on respiratory diagnostics. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions.

iCaltech, an ISO13485-certified firm, specialises in the development and commercialisation of regulatory-approved diagnostic equipment, particularly for respiratory care. The company designs, manufactures, and markets innovative medical technologies.

Commenting on the development, Cipla’s Global COO, Achin Gupta, said the investment underscores Cipla’s commitment to advancing respiratory diagnostics and addressing critical gaps in the ecosystem. The funding will help iCaltech scale and develop cutting-edge medical devices.
