DuPont has announced the launch of its DuPont Liveo Pharma TPE Overmolded Assemblies (OMAs), designed to support ultrapure fluid transfer across upstream and downstream pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical processes.

Engineered as critical components of single-use systems, the new assemblies are aimed at reducing contamination risks, minimising leakage potential and lowering in-house assembly and setup time. The solution is expected to enhance operational efficiency while supporting stringent quality requirements in high-purity manufacturing environments.

The assemblies enable the transfer of ultrapure liquids, air and steam, while reducing the need for extensive cleaning, validation and labour typically associated with conventional systems. Built with low extractables, strong chemical resistance and improved heat-welding performance, the OMAs are tailored to meet the demanding needs of modern biopharma workflows.

According to company officials, the product offers flexibility through customisation options, allowing manufacturers to simplify extractables profiles and optimise production processes. The launch also positions DuPont Healthcare Solutions as a comprehensive provider of high-purity thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry.

Available in both standard and ultra-low-temperature configurations, the assemblies are suited for a wide range of applications, including gene therapies, fill-and-finish operations and other critical processes requiring leak-free and contamination-resistant systems.

The new offering expands DuPont’s existing portfolio of biopharma solutions, which includes TPE tubing and silicone-based assemblies, reinforcing its focus on innovation and efficiency in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
