Emcure Pharmaceuticals has inaugurated its newly commissioned facility in Mehsana, Gujarat, with the ceremony led by Rushikeshbhai Patel, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Gujarat. The state-of-the-art plant focuses on the production of injectables, catering to both the Indian market and global exports.
Emcure, with a robust manufacturing legacy spanning over decades, operates across 13 sites in India. While already having an oral formulations manufacturing line in Mehsana, the newly commissioned unit, operational since August 2023, is now geared for commercial supplies to domestic and international markets.
The company's manufacturing facilities are strategically equipped for different platforms and packaging formats, allowing the production of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products across a diverse range of dosage forms. These include oral solids, oral liquids, injectables (including liposomal and lyophilized injectables), biotherapeutics, and complex APIs.
Emcure Pharmaceuticals holds approvals and accreditations from various regulatory authorities, including EDQM, Health Canada, USFDA, ANVISA Brazil, and more. This commitment to compliance ensures the company's ability to supply products in regulated and other markets.
Beyond enhancing manufacturing capabilities, Emcure's new plant aims to contribute to the local economy by creating additional job opportunities in the Mehsana region.
