Enzene Biosciences, a leading Continuously Innovative Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CIDMO) in the biologics industry, has entered into a strategic partnership with Virtuosi, the world's first IACET-accredited immersive training platform for pharmaceutical manufacturing, developed by Quality Executive Partners (QxP).
With this collaboration, Enzene becomes the first Indian company to partner with Virtuosi —marking a major milestone in building a fully skilled and globally competitive pharmaceutical workforce.
As India's pharmaceutical sector continues its rapid growth driven by innovation in biologics and biosimilars, the need for a technically proficient workforce has become more critical than ever. Virtuosi offer a scalable, interactive learning platform that leverages virtual reality (VR), digital simulation, and accredited technical curricula to strengthen workforce capabilities across critical areas such as aseptic processing, quality assurance, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
"At Enzene, we believe that investing in our people and cultivating a highly skilled workforce are fundamental to earning our place as a trusted global pharmaceutical leader," said Sundar Ramanan, Chief Quality Officer at Enzene Biosciences.
"By partnering with Virtuosi, we are investing not only in training excellence for our own teams, but also in setting a benchmark for the entire industry. This is about raising the standard for how medicines are made—safely, compliantly, and with world-class technical mastery,” he added.
Crystal Mersh, CEO and Founder of Quality Executive Partners, highlighted the importance of workforce readiness. "As the first global company to implement Virtuosi in India, Enzene signals a new era of manufacturing excellence—showcasing that India's CIDMO sector is not only scaling capacity, but also investing in the people and knowledge needed to sustain excellence. Enzene is leading the way,” he said.
A pioneer in next-generation biologics technologies, Enzene is disrupting the existing biologics manufacturing paradigm with its patented EnzeneX technology – the first fully-connected continuous manufacturing (FCCM) platform validated for commercial biologics supply. The company aims to reduce monoclonal antibody production costs to below USD 40 per gram by 2025 and operates integrated facilities in Pune (India) and New Jersey (USA).
Virtuosi, developed by QxP, combines interactive virtual reality with expert-driven curricula to equip professionals with practical skills, regulatory knowledge and critical thinking capabilities required for today's advanced manufacturing environments. The platform contains 100 hours of content and 26 VR segments covering key areas, including aseptic processing, microbiology, and cell & gene therapy. Available in seven different languages, Virtuosi can be adapted to meet regional and organisational training needs worldwide.
