Fischer Medical Ventures (FMVL) has expanded its strategic collaboration to introduce Vecura, an artificial intelligence-enabled molecular research platform, to the Indian life sciences ecosystem, with the objective of supporting faster and more efficient drug discovery.

The initiative is intended to provide pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, academic institutions and research organisations with access to advanced computational biology and AI-powered molecular analysis capabilities, enabling researchers to streamline early-stage drug discovery and therapeutic development.

According to the company, Vecura leverages artificial intelligence to simulate molecular behaviour, predict molecular properties and perform high-throughput computational analysis. The platform is designed to help researchers identify potential drug targets, evaluate compound interactions and validate research hypotheses more efficiently, reducing the time, cost and experimental effort associated with conventional discovery processes.

FMVL stated that the platform could contribute to improved research productivity, facilitate scientific collaboration and create opportunities for commercialisation across India's pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. The company also highlighted the potential of integrating computational biology, artificial intelligence and traditional medicinal knowledge to support the development of scientifically validated plant-derived therapeutics for domestic and global markets.

The company believes the convergence of AI and computational biology can enable the development of safer, more targeted and scalable healthcare solutions while strengthening India's capabilities in next-generation drug discovery.
