Gerresheimer, a global systems and solutions provider for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and cosmetics industries, has appointed Hans-Norbert Topp as Executive Vice President of its newly consolidated Moulded Glass Business Unit. An accomplished leader with over three decades of experience, Topp brings a strong background in executive management, international operations, and transformation strategies.
A graduate economist, Topp began his career in the automotive sector and went on to hold senior roles in finance, controlling, and operations at companies such as Vaillant and SULO. He later joined SIXT as a member of its Executive Board, leading global sales. Since 2010, he has worked independently as a senior executive and advisor to international companies across various sectors.
In his new role at Gerresheimer, Topp will oversee eight production plants across five countries, including two recently acquired from Bormioli Pharma. This acquisition strengthens Gerresheimer’s global footprint and supports its ambition to build a “Moulded Glass Powerhouse.”
The combined moulded glass operations of Gerresheimer and Bormioli Pharma generated pro forma revenues of approximately EUR 735 million in 2024, serving a broad range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, and beverages. Topp is expected to leverage his deep expertise in integration and transformation to drive forward the unit’s global growth and operational excellence.
