Gujarat's Holistic Healthcare Summit Sets Stage for Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit

In a significant prelude to the tenth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the Holistic Healthcare Summit in Gandhinagar. 

Commencing under the theme "Holistic Healthcare - Good Health and Well-Being for All," the summit positions itself as a key contributor to the realization of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of Healthcare for All.

The Chief Minister praised the global recognition achieved by the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, positioning it as a dynamic platform for world-class development in sectors such as infrastructure, education, urban development, healthcare, and human resources alongside industrial progress.

Guided by the Prime Minister's vision, Gujarat has established a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem, spanning government, private, corporate, and public-private partnership (PPP) models. The state has become a leader with 8,800 health and wellness centers and a substantial World Bank allocation of 350 million US dollars for health and wellness promotion.

Highlighting Gujarat's evolution into a pharmaceutical hub, the Chief Minister noted contributions of 40 percent to the nation's pharmaceutical production and 28 percent to exports. The state leads in the medical devices sector, accounting for 53 percent of the country's production. Efforts are underway to establish medical devices and bulk drug parks in Rajkot and Jambusar.

The summit also witnessed an invitation from the Chief Minister to pharmaceutical and healthcare leaders to establish industries in Gujarat's Bulk Drug Park.

Emphasizing complete digitization of health records, the Chief Minister highlighted Gujarat's strides in tele-consultation, telemedicine, and the integration of robotics and artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector. 

The collaborative discussions during the Holistic Healthcare Summit aim to contribute to realizing good health and well-being for all, fostering the nation's enduring prosperity.

Health Minister Rushikesh Patel hailed the impact of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, lauding its role in Gujarat's development across various sectors. 

He highlighted remarkable growth in medical colleges and seats, a 233 percent increase over two decades. The state's healthcare facilities, including dialysis centers, day-care chemotherapy services, and ambulance services, have witnessed significant expansion.

The summit featured sessions on advancing the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Sector, transformative technologies in healthcare, and the promotion of healthcare.
