HAB Pharmaceuticals Charts Growth Path, Targets INR 2,500 to 3,000 Crore Revenue by 2030

HAB Pharmaceuticals & Research is accelerating its long-term growth strategy through investments in manufacturing, research and development, product diversification, and international expansion, with the company targeting revenues of INR 2,500–3,000 crore by 2030.

To support this growth, the company is commissioning two advanced manufacturing facilities, both expected to begin commercial production by August 2026. One facility will focus on sterile manufacturing for semaglutide, prefilled syringes, injectables, vials and lyophilised products, while the other will be a fully automated closed-loop Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing plant. HAB has also acquired a 44,000 sq. ft. manufacturing unit in Dehradun to support future expansion.

The company is simultaneously strengthening its product portfolio across key therapeutic segments, including metabolic care, gastrointestinal disorders, central nervous system therapies, pain management, ophthalmology, critical care, specialty generics, biologics and monoclonal antibodies.

Among its upcoming launches is Vonoprazan, a next-generation therapy for acid-related gastrointestinal disorders. HAB aims to be among the early manufacturers of the molecule after patent expiry. Its development pipeline also includes semaglutide, bempedoic acid, dofasitinib and topical formulations, reflecting the company's focus on chronic disease management and differentiated therapies.

HAB is also investing in semaglutide research to develop high-quality, bioequivalent formulations while expanding patient access beyond metropolitan areas into Tier II cities and last-mile markets. The company believes GLP-1 therapies have significant potential beyond obesity and metabolic disorders, with emerging applications in reducing obesity-related complications and improving fertility outcomes.

On the research front, HAB is expanding its R&D capabilities with a focus on complex generics, peptide-based innovation and advanced drug delivery systems. A new research facility in Vasai is being established to accelerate product development and commercialisation.

To support its global expansion plans, the company continues to strengthen its regulatory framework through compliance with WHO-GMP, cGMP, ISO 9001, and PIC/S standards, while progressing towards EU-GMP certification.
