The Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IP Alliance) will host its 11th Advanced GMP Workshop (AGMP) on October 8–9, 2026, under the theme ‘Raising the Standard: GMP Quality Systems for the Next Decade.’

The workshop is expected to bring together pharmaceutical industry leaders and regulatory experts to discuss evolving Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality systems and regulatory expectations. Participants will include Gregory Smith, Country Director, India Office, US FDA; Dr. Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI), CDSCO; and Nilesh Gupta, Managing Director, Lupin. and Chair, IP Alliance Quality Forum, along with other quality leaders from the pharmaceutical industry.

According to Sudarshan Jain, Secretary General, IP Alliance, the pharmaceutical sector’s quality systems need to evolve alongside advances in technology, manufacturing and regulatory requirements.

The workshop will provide a platform for regulators and industry representatives to exchange experiences and discuss quality practices relevant to the coming decade. IP Alliance also highlighted its Pharmaceutical Academy for Global Excellence (PAGE), which focuses on training and capacity building for pharmaceutical companies, MSMEs and pharmacy students.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening quality capabilities across the pharmaceutical ecosystem and addressing the changing requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturing and compliance.
