Jubilant HollisterStier, a pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Spokane, celebrated a milestone with the inauguration of their third sterile fill finish manufacturing line. The occasion was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that also included the groundbreaking for the next phase of their facility expansion.
The event drew a notable array of dignitaries, including JHS President and CEO Chris Preti, Prakash Gupta, the Consulate General of India, representatives from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, as well as key local and state decision-makers, including members of the Spokane City Council.
A highlight of the ceremony was a video message from State Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers, who underscored the positive impact of JHS' expansion on the broader Spokane community, emphasizing the creation of over 200 new jobs.
The expansion initiative encompasses the installation of a new high-speed commercial fill finish line, housed within a 50,000 square foot facility expansion. This addition boosts JHS' production capacity by an impressive 55 million units per year. Operating at a speed of 400 vials per minute, the line is equipped with cutting-edge full isolator technology and boasts 100 percent weight-checking capabilities at production speeds.
Moreover, the expansion includes three additional compounding suites with the capacity to handle up to 2000 liters of bulk, leveraging disposable, single-use compounding and filling technologies. Furthermore, the line is outfitted with two new 300 square foot lyophilizers, enhancing JHS' capabilities in pharmaceutical production.
Currently, JHS is in the process of scheduling client projects on the newly inaugurated third manufacturing line, while simultaneously commencing work on Phase 2 of their facility expansion to accommodate a fourth manufacturing line.
