Mankind Pharma Expands into Sri Lanka With New Subsidiary

Mankind Pharma has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, Mankind Pharma Lanka (Private) Ltd., in Sri Lanka as part of its international expansion strategy.

The company officially notified the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) about the development on July 24, following its earlier disclosure made on May 21.

“We wish to inform you that, a wholly owned subsidiary has been incorporated in Sri Lanka on July 23, 2025 (intimation of the same was received today i.e. July 24, 2025) under the name and style of Mankind Pharma Lanka (Private) Limited (“WOS”),” the company said a BSE filing.

The move marks a significant step in Mankind Pharma’s efforts to expand its footprint in the South Asian region and bolster its global operations.

Earlier this year, the company completed the amalgamation of three of its subsidiaries—Shree Jee Laboratory Private Ltd, JPR Labs Private Ltd, and Jaspack Industries Private Ltd—into the parent organisation to streamline its operations.

With six Research and development centres and a strong portfolio spanning complex generics, biologics, and new chemical entities, the company is positioning itself as a future-ready biopharmaceutical leader.

Currently, Mankind Pharma operates in 34 countries worldwide, with over 1,000 products approved products. The company also has over 26 products in various stages of development.
