Meril Healthcare Authorises Shukra Pharmaceuticals for Defence Robotic Surgery Projects

Shukra Pharmaceuticals has announced that it has received a letter of authorisation from Meril Healthcare for the “Robotic Assisted Surgery System for Orthopedics” projects at the Directorate General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) and INHS Asvini, Colaba, Mumbai (Maharashtra).

Meril Healthcare, a reputed Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of advanced orthopaedic and robotic systems, has authorised Shukra Pharmaceuticals to quote tenders, raise invoices, make supplies, submit offers, and collect orders and payments on its behalf for the designated projects.

The letter of authorisation was issued on October 8, 2025, and is valid until March 2026 or until the completion of the respective projects, whichever comes earlier.

“This strategic collaboration marks Shukra Pharmaceuticals’ entry into the high-growth medical robotics and advanced orthopaedic healthcare technology segment, aligning with our long-term vision of diversification and value creation,” the company said in an exchange filing.

The management believes that this development will enhance the company’s operational capabilities, strengthen market presence, and contribute positively to the interests of shareholders and stakeholders in the near and long term.
