The syringe has been engineered to provide greater precision, comfort, and control, enhancing the overall treatment experience for both practitioners and patients. It will first be introduced in Europe before a phased rollout across global markets.
Gonzalo Mibelli, President of the EMEA region, described the launch as a significant milestone in Belotero’s history, marking the brand’s continued leadership in hyaluronic acid treatments. Belotero is known as the first and only biomimetic HA treatment formulated with a Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM) gel, designed to replicate the skin’s natural characteristics. With more than 18 million syringes sold worldwide over two decades, the brand offers a comprehensive portfolio that enhances facial features, refines skin texture, and delivers natural-looking, long-lasting results.
Munich-based dermatologist Dr. Tatjana Pavicic praised the syringe’s innovative design, noting its balance of aesthetics and functionality. The inclusion of anti-slip, colour-coded silicone surfaces ensures improved grip, comfort, and stability during procedures. Developed exclusively for Belotero, the patent-protected syringe features several advancements, including an ergonomic design for enhanced handling, improved control for consistent performance at various angles, and an integrated Luer Lock system that ensures safer needle attachment.
According to Alexis Stern, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Merz Aesthetics, ninety-three percent of expert users rated the new Belotero syringe as easy and intuitive to use. The updated syringe will be launched with Belotero Balance Lidocaine, Belotero Soft Lidocaine, and Belotero Intense Lidocaine across key European markets such as Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Spain, before expanding worldwide. Existing Belotero products will continue to remain safe and effective for ongoing use.
