Morepen Laboratories has completed the first phase of its manufacturing capacity expansion program ahead of the previously indicated timeline, the company said in a regulatory filing dated September 7, 2026.
Under the completed phase, Morepen has increased its installed reactor capacity for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) operations from 535 KL to 614 KL.
The expanded capacity is expected to strengthen the company's manufacturing readiness as it scales up commercial Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisations (CDMO) supplies. It will also support Morepen's existing API business and future customer programs.
The capacity expansion forms part of Morepen's broader strategy to establish a larger, scalable and globally compliant manufacturing platform, with a focus on developing long-term customer partnerships and supporting sustained growth across its API and CDMO businesses.
The company disclosed the development pursuant to Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The filing was submitted to the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
It said the completion of the first phase ahead of schedule marks an important milestone in its manufacturing expansion strategy, particularly as it prepares for increasing CDMO requirements and future customer programs.
