MSRVantage to provide AI-based blockchain solution to weed out counterfeit products in pharma

MSRCosmos, a US-based software solutions provider, has set up a new start-up MSRVantage in Hyderabad to provide AI enabled blockchain solutions for pharma, biotech, healthcare and various other allied product manufacturing industries.

According to M Shiva Gopala, founder and chairman of MSRCosmos, a conglomeration of 14 sister companies located in 4 different countries across the globe, it has been decided to set up a start-up company called MSRVantage in Hyderabad which is aimed at providing artificial intelligence enabled blockchain solutions through traceability and asset digitisation of various pharma products and keep a tab on counterfeit products through its anti-counterfeit management. The MSRVantage will also offer supply chain solutions through traceability and asset digitization.

“Our product from the new start-up MSRVantage will not only provide digital transformation solutions for the pharma, biotech and health industries for maintaining the quality of product throughout the product value chain but at the same time will be able to curb the counterfeit of medicines in the market by employing tract and traceability system using QR codes. This innovative technology can also be leveraged to varied sectors of different product manufacturing and can be applied to products right from the production, distribution and marketing unit it reaches the end user,” informed the chairman of MSRCosmos.

Adding further Devi Kondapai, CEO of MSRCosmos said that this new technology offers solution for easy-to-follow trace of products that cannot be altered, making it reliable for all the stakeholders. “This new software product not only helps in maintaining quality but at the same time increases the ability to trace potential sources of contamination helping it to trace the source and hence can prevent and control counterfeiting in sectors such as pharma, dairy and food industries,” observed the CEO.

Currently the MSRCosmos group is having 400 employees at different offices in Hyderabad, Noida, Chennai and Vijayawada. In the next two years the group is planning to expand its employee count to 1,000 in India and over 5,000 across the globe.
