The Government of Odisha will host the Odisha Pharma Summit 2025 on December 16 in Bhubaneswar, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The summit will bring together pharmaceutical and medical devices manufacturers, startups, innovators, healthcare experts, investors, and other industry stakeholders to explore opportunities within Odisha’s growing pharmaceuticals and healthcare manufacturing sector.

A key highlight of the summit will be the launch of the Odisha Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Policy 2025. The new policy is designed to attract investments, enhance ease of doing business, and generate employment across the life sciences value chain in the state.

During the event, the Government of Odisha will also announce plans to develop two dedicated industrial parks—one Pharmaceutical Park and one Medical Devices Park. These projects aim to strengthen healthcare manufacturing infrastructure in Odisha and provide a supportive ecosystem for industry expansion and innovation.

The summit will feature the signing of several memoranda of understanding between the state government and participating companies, reflecting concrete steps towards building a robust pharmaceutical and medical devices ecosystem in Odisha.

An Industry Perspective Session will form a core part of the programme, with sector leaders sharing insights on business enablers, research and development, and Odisha’s emerging role as a competitive destination for healthcare manufacturing.

The event will be attended by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Dr Mukesh Mahaling, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, and Sampad Chandra Swain, Minister for Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education, along with senior government officials.

Ahead of the summit, Sampad Chandra Swain said the state is committed to creating a future-ready ecosystem that supports growth, innovation, and global competitiveness, and invited industry players, investors, and thought leaders to participate in the initiative.
