Organon Canada has announced the approval and availability of Nduvra (tapinarof cream), 1 percent, for the topical treatment of moderate to severe Atopic Dermatitis (AD) in adults and paediatric patients aged two years and older.

Nduvra is a topical aryl hydrocarbon receptor agonist formulated with tapinarof. The approval expands the treatment options available for patients with atopic dermatitis, a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can affect quality of life, sleep and mental wellbeing.

Tapinarof was discovered in Canada, and its clinical development included patient enrolment at study sites across the country. The treatment provides a non-steroidal topical option that can be prescribed to eligible patients.

Atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema, affects approximately 15 percent of children and 4 percent of adults in Canada. Globally, the condition affects up to 20 percent of children and 3 percent of adults.

The approval marks the second approved indication for tapinarof cream in Canada, following its approval in 2025 for the treatment of plaque psoriasis in adults.

Organon said the expanded indication strengthens its dermatology portfolio and provides an additional treatment option for people living with atopic dermatitis.
