Pfizer has announced the discontinuation of the marketing, distribution and sale of Minipress XL in India, effective September 7, 2026. The decision follows Pfizer Inc. USA’s decision to discontinue the manufacture of the product.
The decision was approved at a meeting of Pfizer’s Board of Directors held on September 7, 2026. The company disclosed the development under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
As part of the discontinuation, Pfizer will receive a lump-sum payment of USD 13.9 million, equivalent to approximately INR 131.38 crore, from Pfizer Inc. USA.
The company has notified the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) regarding the Board’s decision.
