The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) has invited its member companies to participate in a virtual meet on "Mexico: Expansion Opportunities for the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry."

Organised in collaboration with the Consulate of Mexico in Mumbai, the virtual session aims to raise awareness about the Mexican pharmaceutical market and promote potential business collaborations by facilitating interaction between Indian and Mexican pharmaceutical companies.

 The virtual meet is scheduled for August 14, 2025, at 07:00 PM (India Time).

“This event offers a valuable opportunity for Indian pharmaceutical companies already operating in Mexico, as well as those exploring expansion into the region,” Pharmexcil stated in its invitation.

To help members gain a deeper understanding of the market, Pharmexcil has also shared a presentation on Mexico’s investment landscape and a detailed document on the country’s industrial development roadmap, Plan México.

Mexico, currently ranked as the 15th largest economy globally, is striving to enter the top 10 economies by 2030 by strengthening its domestic market and international participation.  

In the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, the country has set ambitious targets — aiming to attract USD 2 billion annually in clinical research investment by 2030.

It also seeks a 15 percent increase in the production of essential components such as packaging, labels, pharmaceutical chemicals, blood derivatives, generic drugs, machinery, and connectable medical devices.
