Mumbai-based pharmaceutical formulations company Rubicon Research Ltd has been officially listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The listing ceremony took place at the NSE headquarters, where Pratibha Pilgaonkar, Founder and Manager of Rubicon Research, presented a memento to Dr. Harish Ahuja, Head of Issuer Relationship at NSE, to commemorate the occasion.

Founded in 1999, Rubicon Research began as a contract formulation development services provider for pharmaceutical companies. In 2012, the company shifted its focus towards developing, manufacturing, and commercialising its own products in the US market.

The company operates two US FDA-inspected manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra, India, capable of producing oral solids, oral liquids and advanced nasal spray products under US cGMP standards. These facilities are also accredited by international regulators including the MHRA (UK), Health Canada, and TGA (Australia).

Rubicon Research conducts its product development activities at two major sites — its principal R&D facility in Thane, Maharashtra, which handles multiple dosage forms, and a development center for inhalation and nasal products in Ontario, Canada.

As of March 31, 2024, Rubicon Research had 55 commercialised products in the US market. The company’s diverse portfolio includes oral capsules, concentrates, solutions, suspensions, syrups, tablets, ophthalmic drops and intrathecal injections.

Its products are marketed in the US through wholly-owned subsidiaries, AdvaGen Pharma and Validus, with some products marketed by third-party distributors.
