Sabinsa's parent company, Sami-Sabinsa Group, inaugurated a new state-of-the-art greenfield manufacturing facility at Hassan in the State of Karnataka.
Company Chairman Dr Muhammed Majeed inaugurated Unit-1 of the facility, Sami Nutraceuticals, with senior executives in attendance.
The unit, which sprawls over 10 acres, is the company’s eighth manufacturing facility.
The facility, built with an $18 million investment, has the capacity to produce 88 tonne of Active Nutraceutical Ingredients (ANI) and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) per annum for the global market.
The Unit-I of the facility will produce 23 different ANIs and APIs and intermediates, including Calebin-A, Resveratrol, SabiWhite, Pterostilbene, Cosmoperine, 1, 2- Hexanediol, 1,2-Octanediol, Diindolylmethane (DIM), lndole-3-Carbinol, Ferulic Acid and Urolithins, among others.
This world-class manufacturing facility is equipped with 18 reactors (including eight glass-line reactors), two hydrogenators, and other specialized equipment such as agitated nutsche filter dryers (ANFD), centrifuges, and Rotocone Vacuum Dryers.
