Samsung Biologics Highlights 2025 Outlook at J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference

Samsung Biologics announced its latest business achievements and 2025 outlook at the 43rd J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, which was held in San Francisco between January 13-16.

During the main track presentation, Samsung Biologics’ CEO and President John Rim said, “Despite industry challenges, Samsung Biologics is well positioned to kick-start a new phase of growth in 2025 with the opening of Bio Campus II and launch of antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) services.” He added, “We’ll continue to invest in new modalities and technologies to better address client needs, maximizing satisfaction and ensuring the delivery of highest-quality products.”

Samsung Biologics announced several key business updates, including the launch of ADC services at a new dedicated facility to meet the growing demand for ADC-based therapeutics, supported by an expanded collaboration with LigaChem Biosciences.

The company also revealed plans to open a regional office in Tokyo this year to better support its expanding client base in Japan. Additionally, Samsung Biologics is investing in pre-filled syringe (PFS) capabilities, with a fully automated PFS Drug Product line set to be CGMP ready by 2027.

The company is enhancing development capabilities by incorporating new tech platforms like S-HiConTM and S-TensifyTM to improve drug development efficiency. Samsung Biologics is also expanding its capacity with the opening of Bio Campus II, which will add Plant 5 in April, increasing total capacity to 784,000 liters, with plans for a sixth plant to bring total capacity to 964,000 liters.

Finally, the company continues its digital transformation, integrating AI and digital twin technologies to optimize project timelines and improve client satisfaction.
