Sanofi Healthcare India Pvt. Ltd. has expanded its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad with the addition of more than 2.7 lakh square meters of advanced workspace within its existing campus in Hitech City. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Telangana IT and industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu along with senior Sanofi leadership.
Originally launched in 2024, the expanded GCC is expected to increase employee capacity to around 4,500 from an earlier projection of about 2,600, making it one of Sanofi’s largest global talent hubs and positioning the Hyderabad site among India’s top pharma GCC facilities.
Sanofi’s GCC network functions as a strategic backbone supporting enterprise-wide operations. The Hyderabad expansion, backed by a multi-hundred-million investment, strengthens the company’s long-term commitment to India’s life sciences ecosystem and talent base. The enlarged centre will support roles spanning research and development, digital innovation, data analytics, medical affairs, finance, procurement, people services, and commercial operations.
Established in 2019 with an initial focus on medical services, the Hyderabad GCC has evolved into a global delivery hub supporting Sanofi’s affiliates worldwide. The campus is designed with sustainability, inclusivity, and employee wellbeing in mind, featuring a hospitality-inspired workplace model intended to enhance collaboration, streamline processes, and improve efficiency across research, discovery, manufacturing, and supply functions.
Sanofi leadership emphasized that the Hyderabad hub plays a critical role in supporting the company’s R&D-driven and AI-enabled transformation by leveraging India’s strengths in digital innovation and data science. Telangana leadership highlighted that the expansion reinforces Hyderabad’s transition from a manufacturing base to a global centre for life sciences innovation, digital capability, and high-skill employment.
