Sanofi India has named Deepak Arora as its new Managing Director (MD), with the appointment taking effect on October 27, 2025. The decision, cleared by the Board of Directors based on the Nomination and Remuneration Committee’s recommendation, remains subject to shareholder and Central Government approval.

Arora will be responsible for shaping Sanofi India’s strategic direction in alignment with the company’s global growth ambitions. His mandate includes driving innovation, enhancing organisational agility, and strengthening operational performance across business divisions. He will also champion the company’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) agenda and reinforce Sanofi’s core values across the organisation.

With over three decades of experience in the global pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, Arora has worked across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, holding senior roles in commercial strategy, general management, sales and marketing, and business expansion.

Welcoming him to the leadership role, Aditya Narayan, Chairman of the Board, Sanofi India, said, “Deepak Arora’s extensive experience across global markets aligns well with our mission to serve patients throughout India. Arora holds a Bachelor’s degree in Botany and Zoology from the University of Lucknow and an MBA from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
