Strides Pharma Science reported consolidated revenue of INR 1,429.7 crore for the second quarter of FY27, registering a 17 percent Year-on-Year (YoY) increase. For the half year ended September 30, 2026, the company recorded revenue of INR 2,695.1 crore, up 15 percent compared with the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
The company's Q2FY27 revenue growth was driven by its ex-US markets, which recorded a 31 percent YoY increase to INR 69.63 crore. For the first time, quarterly revenue from the ex-US markets surpassed that of the US business, which reported revenue of INR 68.55 crore, up 9 percent YoY. Strides also launched three products in the US market during the quarter.
Reported Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at INR 13.41 crore in Q2FY27, registering a 2 percent increase. For the half year, reported PAT increased by 26.4 percent to INR 29.96 crore. Reported Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the quarter stood at INR 1.42.
The company stated that the operational PAT and operational EPS figures for Q2FY26 and H1FY26 exclude one-time finance income of INR 1.85 crore. Operational PAT is calculated as reported PAT excluding exceptional items.
Commenting on the performance, Badree Komandur, Managing Director and Group CEO of Strides Pharma Science, said the company delivered a strong second quarter, with revenue growth driven by its ex-US markets. He noted that the company's diversification strategy continued to support growth, with ex-US revenue increasing 31 percent year-on-year and exceeding US revenue for the first time in a quarter.
Komandur added that the US business registered 9 percent YoY growth, while EBITDA increased to INR 25.09 crore, crossing INR 25 crore for the first time in a quarter. This performance was achieved despite higher raw material, freight and operating costs arising from geopolitical disruptions. He said the company would continue to focus on cost optimisation initiatives to mitigate these pressures.
The company's net debt increased by INR 21.14 crore during H1FY27 due to an extended cash-to-cash cycle and higher inventory holding to manage prevailing market conditions. Komandur said the company expects its net debt-to-EBITDA ratio to stabilise by the end of the financial year.
