Sun Pharmaceutical Industries said it will invest Rs 500 crore to expand its manufacturing facility in Assam, aiming to strengthen its domestic production infrastructure and support future growth. The investment will be made at the company’s existing unit in the state, where capacity enhancements are planned across key production lines to cater to both domestic demand and export markets.

The expansion project is expected to create significant employment opportunities in the region, spanning production, quality assurance, technical and support roles.
