Bulgarian pharmaceuticals marketing company Vedra International and producer Tera Pharmaceutical will invest over 40 million levs ($21.9 million/20.5 million euro) in the construction of a pharma factory, along with a herb and animal farm and an events centre near the coastal town of Sozopol, the municipal council said.
Ground will be broken for the project, named Vedra Land, on September 18 in the village of Zidarovo, Sozopol municipality said.
At the factory, Tera Pharmaceutical will manufacture products based on natural resources typical for the region and Bulgaria. The company has already obtained a building permit for the factory, which will be the first site of the planned complex.
Vedra Land will also include a farm with over 60 species of herbs, as well as fruit trees and dairy animals. An event centre of around 1000 square metres will also be built, which will host events for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors as well as tourists.
