German mixing and process technology specialist ystral has expanded its footprint in India with the inauguration of a new facility in Bengaluru, significantly strengthening its regional operations. The expansion includes a larger technical and service team along with increased local procurement, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to India and the Southeast Asian market.
ystral is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance mixing, dispersing and powder-wetting equipment, as well as turnkey process systems for industries including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, coatings and paints, food, home and personal care, and battery production. The company has been operating in India since 2013 through its wholly owned subsidiary, ystral India.
The move to the new Bengaluru site will allow ystral India to expand its workforce from nine to fifteen professionals across process engineering, electrical engineering, software development, sales and service functions.
Srirangarajan Santhanam, director of ystral India, said the expansion reflects the company’s focus on improving operational efficiency and delivering high-quality service. He added that the new facility is equipped with advanced infrastructure aligned with the standards of ystral’s German headquarters, enabling the delivery of innovative and technically advanced solutions.
As part of its growth strategy, ystral plans to increase local manufacturing of components in India, while continuing to produce high-precision components in Germany. Dominik Seeger, senior vice president sales at ystral, said greater localisation will help the company remain competitive by reducing lead times, enabling invoicing in INR and accelerating project execution.
India is currently ystral’s fastest-growing market globally. The new Bengaluru facility is expected to develop into a regional service hub supporting neighbouring Asian markets, complementing operations in China and Singapore. In addition, ystral India will contribute software development services to the company’s global headquarters in Germany, further strengthening India’s role as a strategic market for ystral across Asia.
